Bad Hersfeld - showcase of Hessen

Bad Hersfeld is located in the northeastern part of Hesse and is also the seat of the district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg. When visiting Bad Hersfeld, visitors can look forward to many attractions that the town has to offer. Our bus stop is located at Hünfelder Strasse, near a furniture store. By taking a cab or the local bus line, you can quickly get to different, even the most remote parts of the whole city. Being in the very center, we recommend first visiting the Kurhaus, a multifunctional building, typical for the spa architecture of the 19th century. The building is surrounded by beautifully designed park - Kurpark. Its attractiveness is primarily due to the lush vegetation which covers it, but also due to the clever concept of its creators, who ensured that a different part of it blooms every year. In the Kurhaus in the park you can taste the water from the healing springs Lullus and Vitalis, which have a stimulating effect on the digestive system and boost your vitality, among other things. After the tour of the Kurhaus we recommend a walk in the direction of the city center. On the way you will see the well-preserved ruins of the old monastery, where in the summer months a festival is held and performances of plays, dramas, comedies and musicals are staged which attract many people, not only from the city itself. A fruitful walk can end in the old town in one of the local cafes or restaurants.
