Dnepr is undoubtedly a large and significant city on the map of Ukraine. Dnipro is located in the southeastern part of Ukraine. The city has a population of about one million, and is the fourth largest in Ukraine.

In its best years, Yuzhmash employed up to 40,000 workers; today when orders have fallen (mainly from the Russian side) Yuzhmash employs about 7,000 workers. The number of employees, although much lower, continues to be significant.
