Mragowo is one of the best known tourist destinations in Poland. The place is famous not only for the beautiful natural circumstances, forests, lakes and waters of the Mragowo Lake District, but also for the country music festival and charming urban buildings. Let's find out what Mrągowo attractions has prepared for visitors.

One of them is the western town of Mrongoville. Opened in 2008. Mrongoville is a faithful reproduction of a town from the days of the 19th century Wild West. What's not to like here! The settlement area covers more than 10 hectares, where you will find, among other things, a saloon, town hall, sheriff's station, jail, trappers' cabins, stables, railroad station and track with a locomotive, and an Indian village with tipi tents. Tours of the town are free.

Let's stay a while longer in the atmosphere of the wild west and North America being the home of country music. The famous International Country Music Festival, commonly known as the Country Picnic, has been held in Mrągowo since 1982. The artists and guests who come in large numbers to this event change the face of Mragowo. Many of them arrive on motorcycles, some dress up in cowboy costumes. The festival is not only concerts in the local amphitheater, but also accompanying events, such as dance shows, a country parade, demonstrations, tastings and competitions. Other well-known periodic events in Mragowo are: Mazurian Cabaret Night, Festival of Borderland Culture and Disco under the Sails.

There is plenty to do in Mragowo not only during the holiday season, although of course the summer brings the largest number of visitors who want to enjoy kayaking, sailing and other water sports in the surrounding waters. In summer and spring there are the best conditions for traversing (walking, biking or running) the forests of the Mragowo Lake District. In winter, the city slows down. It gets quieter here, which doesn't mean boring. One of the Mragowo attractions available in winter is the Four Winds Mountain, located on a peninsula on Lake Czos. It is a capital vantage point for a panoramic view of the area. In winter, Mount of the Four Winds serves as a ski slope - there are two short lifts and slopes of varying difficulty, as well as a snow park. Lake Czos is a graceful place for walking and fishing.

In winter and summer you can also visit local museums. Leading the way in this category of Mragowo attractions are the Museum of Warmia and Mazury and the Museum of Military Equipment.
