Podgaje - a village marked by history

Podgaje is a village located in Wielkopolska province, occupying the valley of the Gwda River, on which a dam has been built to form an artificial lake. To the west of the village on a chain of unforested hills reaching 150 meters above sea level, there is a complex of fortifications forming a protective belt of the Pomeranian Wall, over which a battle was fought in 1945.

When visiting Podgaje, it is worth seeing the Monument to War Barbarism built in 1969, commemorating the victims of the crime, and go to a camping site on the Gwda River less than 4 kilometers from the village, where you can relax in nature.
