Visit the city of Schwenningen by bus Sindbad!
In Schwenningen, once the largest clock city in the world, time has not stopped. Here we can meet the harmonious presence of tradition and modernity. Here a magnificent Wilhelminian-style villa, there a modern building, such contrasts can sometimes surprise. Getting off at our stop located at the Bf, Erzbergerstr, we find ourselves right at the beginning of the Neckar River. The river begins its course in the beautiful setting of the Möglingshöhe city park and continues to delight visitors, and this is the beginning of a route of more than 360 kilometers, all the way to the Rhine. Muslenplatz is the bustling center of the city and a popular meeting place. The square takes its name from the small river Muslen, which flows into the Dolen, where the core of the Schwenningen settlement was once located. Today, the square houses a museum of local history and clocks. Every Saturday, and in summer also on Wednesdays, the largest market in the region is held here, where you can find everything from souvenirs to everyday items. Places that are a must-visit are certainly the onion church, dating back to the 12th century, and the carefully restored town hall building. In addition, there are plenty of great hiking and biking trails in the area, as well as a dirt cross trail that leads past 20 dirt crosses. The town is a great place to relax and recharge your batteries.
