Starachowice - a town in Świętokrzyskie Voivodship, located in the valley of the Kamienna River. It borders the Swietokrzyskie Mountains and the Ilzec Foothills. It is surrounded by vast forests, which are remnants of the Swietokrzyska Forest.
Starachowice in the first half of the 19th century became the largest center of the metal industry in the Kingdom of Poland.
