Uddevalla - fishing town

Uddevalla is a city in southwestern Sweden that was granted a city charter in 1498 and is also the administrative seat of the Uddevalla Municipality. Despite the fact that it is not one of the largest in Sweden it is rich in many attractions that local residents and tourists enjoy. The city has a well-developed bus network so after a short shopping trip you can take a regular bus line that will take you to the city center in less than half an hour, near the Bohuslans Museum, which is the second most visited museum in Sweden. Admission to the museum is free, and inside the museum, which is open to visitors 361 days a year, you will find many thematic exhibitions and a contemporary art gallery. After visiting the museum, we recommend a walk along the very popular Strandpromenaden tourist trail. This seaside promenade is 9 kilometers long and begins in the historic Skalbankarna area. It runs through the city and ends at the Gustafsberg Nature Reserve, which historically was Sweden's most popular spa, and today you will find beautiful greenery characteristic of the region and architectural elements from the 18th century. 10 thousand years old, and during the summer a small museum is also available for tourists, which, in addition to numerous exhibits, has a lot of information and interesting facts about this reserve.
