Utrecht is a well-known city in central Netherlands. It is often referred to as a small Amsterdam, but in comparison with the Dutch capital, it is much more peaceful and less crowded. Utrecht will particularly appeal to those who are looking for typically Dutch architecture. The multitude of monuments that the city has to city has to offer visitors is sizable and definitely every tourist should put Utrecht on the list as one of the cities to should visit. Our bus stop at Westplein - next to the NH Utrecht hotel, where buses stop Sindbad, is the very center of the city i an ideal point from which to start your sightseeing. The city is most conveniently explored on foot. However, it is worth taking advantage of the bicycle rentals and see if the thesis that Utrecht has the best-designed bicycle path system in the Netherlands is true. In the center of the city you will find a 112-meter high observation tower Domotoren, from the top of which you can enjoy a picturesque panorama of the entire Utrecht. The tower itself is almost adjacent to another attraction of the city- the St. Martin's Cathedral. Until 1674, the two buildings formed a whole, but a a massive storm and tornado knocked down a section of the walls and to this day they remain as two separate buildings.

After the typically historic attractions, it's worth getting on the on the aforementioned bicycle and ride to a remote o 15 kilometers from the city, Castle de Haar, which is the largest castle in the Netherlands. In the opinion of many, it resembles a luxury estate. Its construction was completed relatively recently - in 1912. For a castle and years of of construction it has, among other things, elevators, steam central heating and electricity. There is no reason to worry about boredom in Utrecht, especially evenings and weekends.

Despite the fact that the city is not the largest in Netherlands the most cultural events take place here, more even than in Amsterdam. It is worth a visit to the Oudegracht canal, which is the the oldest canal in the city and brings together on its banks many restaurants, local pubs and coffeshops, which will provide everyone with a good time and an unforgettable experience.
