Zielona Gora - PKS and Bus Station - Buses to and from Zielona Gora

With a population of over 140,000, Green Mountain is a great place for a weekend getaway for the whole family. Getting off at our stop located at the Green Mountain bus station, we are almost in the heart of the city. This is a great place to start a tour. The Old Town, which is almost entirely preserved in its original form, certainly deserves attention, as World War II did not wreak much havoc here. What, besides the Old Town, is worth keeping in mind when visiting Zielona Gora?

The central point of the city is, of course, the Market Square with its beautiful townhouses dating back to the 19th century. Nearby is the St. Hedwig's Concathedral, dating back to the 12th century, making it the city's oldest monument. Another noteworthy landmark is the Bath Tower, also known as the Hunger Tower, which is part of the former city gate. In medieval times it housed a prison (also for witches). Listing what Green Mountain attractions has to offer tourists, we can't help but mention the region's firmly rooted wine tradition. It is reminded, among other things, by the statue of Bacchus in the Old Town, but also by the statues of little Bacchus scattered around. End your walk through the city at the Wine Park and Palm House, which was once an annex to a historic wine house. Today it houses, among other things, a unique restaurant, whose guests can enjoy specialties of the cuisine surrounded by tropical vegetation.

The largest city in Lubuskie province also has its holidays. If you go here in early September, you will have a unique opportunity to participate in the Days of Zielona Gora and the Grape Harvest, an annual cultural event starring Bacchus. The city is then dominated by grapes and countless wine tastings from local vineyards and more.

What is worth noting, Zielona Gora is the second city in Poland in terms of the surface share of green areas. Visiting this place, you can easily stumble upon one of the local parks or nature and landscape complexes.

The city combines centuries-old history, dating back to the Middle Ages, with modernity, expressed through culture, higher education or business. All these elements could not resonate without an efficient system of urban transportation and intercity connections. Such is in operation in Zielona Gora. Modern city buses can run around the city. The city's central transfer point is considered to be the PKS Zielona Góra station, located near the main train station. The PKS Zielona Góra bus station is therefore a place from which we can get to virtually any part of the city, Poland, and even to many corners of Europe. Zielona Gora is opened to European destinations by Sindbad. Our stop is located on Dworcowa Street, from where you can easily reach not only the railway station, but also the largest tourist attractions of Zielona Gora.
