The town of Cassino is located halfway between Rome and Naples. For centuries it has been a kind of gateway to the Italian capital. The hill of Monte Cassino rises to a height of 519 meters above sea level. It was here that the bloodiest and fiercest battle of World War II was fought from January to May 1944. The Cathedral Basilica of Monte Cassino itself has been painstakingly rebuilt, preserving its pre-war appearance. An attraction that few people know about is the vast Natural Park surrounding the hill. Its area is nearly 700 hectares. In addition to the famous Polish War Cemetery, its grounds include other important Polish monuments - to the "Scorpion" Armored Regiment and the 3rd Carpathian Rifle Division - as well as several scenic walking trails.

Konin is a city in central Poland located on the Warta River. The Amber Route once ran here, providing Konin with thriving economic and cultural development. Also noteworthy are a synagogue and a market square with historic townhouses. While in Konin, it is also worth seeing the Gothic church of St. Andrew the Apostle from the early 15th century located in Gosławice, the current district of the city. There you can admire, among others, a valuable collection of 26 coats of arms or an octagonal stone baptismal font from the early 16th century.
For relaxation it is worth taking a stroll along the Warta River Boulevard or to the Fryderyk Chopin Park, established in the 19th century, where, in addition to walking paths, visitors can enjoy a mini zoo, an open-air gym or numerous attractions for children. In the summer, however, it is especially worthwhile to take a rest at the beautiful Lake Goslawskie.
