Dijon is a French city known for its great mustard and the capital of the historic Burgundy region rich in vineyards, sacred monuments and beautiful architecture. The historic center of Dijon has managed to preserve many historic buildings. One of the city's greatest monuments is the 15th century Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy (Palace of the States). A gem of Gothic architecture, meanwhile, is the Notre-Dame Church with its historic statue of the Virgin Mary, known as Our Lady of Good Hope or the Black Madonna. Many beautiful churches can be found in the city. Take a stroll here in the Darcy garden, which dates back to the late 19th century, or see the botanical garden, which is rich in a variety of plants. Dijon and the whole of Burgundy is famous for its excellent cuisine. Getting to Dijon

Dijon is very well connected. There are two train stations in the city: Dijon-Ville and Dijon-Porte-Neuve, with connections to major cities in France and to Spain or Switzerland.
