Kamenets Podolsky was probably founded in the 11th century (Armenian chronicles prove so). In the 12th and 13th centuries the stronghold, belonging to the Halicko-Vlodzimierska Rus, was located on the site of the present castle, and its sub-grounds in part of today's Old Town.

Koszalin, although not situated by the sea, is called the center of Pomerania. Koszalin is the second biggest town in Western Pomerania, situated at the junction of three regions - Slowinski Coast, Bialogard Plain and Slupsk Plain.
