Kamenets Podolsky was probably founded in the 11th century (Armenian chronicles prove so). In the 12th and 13th centuries the stronghold, belonging to the Halicko-Vlodzimierska Rus, was located on the site of the present castle, and its sub-grounds in part of today's Old Town.

Koszalin, although not located by the sea, is called the center of Pomerania. Koszalin is the second largest city in Western Pomerania, which lies at the junction of three regions - the Slowinski Coast, the Bialogard Plain and the Slupsk Plain.
