Racibórz is a picturesquely located town in the Silesian province, not far from Opole. It is inhabited by more than 50,000 people. The city has a very long and interesting history - it was one of the historical capitals of Upper Silesia, where the princes of Opole and Racibórz resided.
What to see in Raciborz?
While in Raciborz, don't miss seeing the Piast Castle with its vast courtyard and beautiful Gothic castle chapel comparable to Paris' Sainte-Chapelle. To this day, fragments of medieval defensive walls and a former prison tower dating back to the 16th century have been preserved in the city.
