Ilawa is a beautifully located city in the Warmian-Masurian province. It is located on one of the largest lakes in Poland - Jeziorak Lake, surrounded by the Iława Lake District Landscape Park. Also worth seeing is the Church of St. John the Theologian, located in the more than a century-old building of the city gasworks. Its interiors and exterior facade delight with colorful icons. An interesting monument is the neo-Gothic Ilawa Town Hall and the Baroque sculptures located on Niepodległości Street. They depict Roman deities: Juno, Hercules, Jupiter and Medusa.
