The symbol of the city and one of its most important monuments is the late Gothic cathedral - the largest church in Bern, as well as in all of Switzerland. Take a stroll through the old town full of historic buildings, visit the Paul Klee center with an exceptionally rich collection of his works or see the former home of the world's most famous physicist. Bern is the city of Einstein. The Nobel laureate lived and worked here from 1902 to 1914. The building at Kramgasse 49, in Bern's old town, houses his apartment, where you can now see numerous photos and personal memorabilia of Albert Einstein.
Getting to Bern
Bern is an important transportation hub, where the central government, many foreign companies and international organizations are headquartered. From our country, unfortunately, you will not find direct flights to Bern by plane. The best option will be to travel by bus or your own car. Bus to Bern is a much more economical choice, since traveling from Poland, you have to reckon with highway tolls and considerable costs incurred on fuel.
