Mielec is a city in Subcarpathian Voivodeship, located in the Sandomierz Basin on the Wisloka River. It is inhabited by 60,000 people, making it the second largest city in the province. In the 1990s the country's first Special Economic Zone was established there, an attractive investment area where thousands of people find employment and entrepreneurs have favorable conditions for conducting their business.
