Ancona the capital and main city of Italy's Marche region lies on the Adriatic coast. Due to its possession of one of Italy's most important ports, the city is of great economic importance. There is a small airport in Ancona, which has direct flights to Krakow. You can also fly by plane to Bologna which offers more cheap flights, and from there take the train to Ancona in about 3 hours.
