In addition, take a stroll through the old town, see the medieval frescoes in the monumental Cathedral of the Assumption, visit the nearby Roncolo Castle (Runkelstein), or take the oldest cable car to the Polbis peaks, from where you can beautifully see the entire area. Bolzano's annual Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition is also an important attraction.
Getting to Bolzano
Bolzano is best reached by car or long-distance bus. It is not possible to get to this city by direct flight from Poland. However, planes to Bolzano fly from major Italian cities. STRZELCE OPOLSKIE
Getting to Strzelce Opolskie - by car, PKP, PKS and long-distance coaches
The city is intersected by DK 94, which is the main transportation route. A network of provincial roads connects Strzelce Opolskie with the surrounding communities and their tourist attractions, as well as allowing access to the A4 highway. We can also get to A4 by using DK 88. The highway provides a fast connection to the Upper Silesian agglomeration and Wroclaw. We can also get here by public transportation. The city is served by both the railroad and PKS Strzelce Opolskie. Both train and bus stations are located not far from each other, making combined transportation possible. The well-developed public transportation network makes it easy for residents of the surrounding communities and neighboring counties to get around on a daily basis.
