Opoczno is a county town located in central Poland, in the southeastern part of Lodz province, on the Drzewiczka River, a right tributary of the Pilica River. The city has two railroad stations. The train station is close to the city center, and nearby, on Dworcowa Street, is a stop from which most long-distance coach services depart. The Opoczno PKS bus station on Janas Street serves slightly closer courses. From Opoczno you can go directly to Lublin, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Czestochowa, Krakow or Lodz, coaches on international routes also run from there.
