The monumental Gothic Cathedral of St. Stanislaus and St. Wenceslaus also boasts a high tower.
In the city you will find quite a lot of green areas and many interesting murals - most of them are located near the railroad and bus stations. The author of most of them is Swidnica-based artist Robert Kukla.
Getting there - train and bus to Swidnica
The city is well connected with the rest of the country and neighboring countries. Its location between the two largest cities of the province - Wroclaw and Walbrzych - provides Świdnica with a large number of train and bus connections. Świdnica's bus station is located right next to the train station, making both a well-organized Świdnica Transfer Center. From here it takes less than a 15-minute walk to get to the center of Swidnica.

BERGAMO
Bergamo is a city in Northern Italy in the Lombardy region lying at the southern foothills of the Bergamo Alps. It was founded around 390 BC by the Celts as Bergheim ("city on a hill"), and was occupied by the Romans in the 1st century BC and renamed Bergomum. In 575 Bergamo was established as the capital of the principality of the Longobards. The historic part of the city, so popular with tourists, is located on a hill, which can be reached by cable car. An attraction a bit out of the way, which many people overlook, is the San Vigilio hill with a beautiful panoramic view of Città Alta, all of Bergamo and the surrounding countryside. And it's a place worth visiting, especially since you can help yourself by taking the Funicolare S. railroad. Vigilio, whose station is just outside the city walls, 500 meters from Piazza Vecchia. On the 496-meter hill are the ruins of a castle with a tower, as well as a small park and fountain.
