Pochaiv is a small town in Ukraine, located in the Ternopil region. The city's biggest attraction and symbol is the Pochaiv Lavra - one of the most important Orthodox monasteries in Ukraine, often referred to as the "Ukrainian Athos." The monastery complex impresses with its Baroque architecture, golden domes and richly decorated interiors. It houses the famous Miraculous Icon of Our Lady of Pochaiv, as well as the imprint of Our Lady's foot in the rock, which is believed to have healing properties.
