By plane, it's best to reach the airports of Bolzano, Verona, Milan, Venice, Bergamo, Bologna or Innsbruck, and then get to Trento by bus or rental car. You can also travel by train - all Italian and European long-distance trains stop at the main Trento stations. If you want to visit beautiful Trento - a bus will be a very good choice, especially because of the unaffordable ticket prices and lower carbon footprint of such a trip.
