Jedrzejow is a town in the Swietokrzyskie province located on the road from Kielce to Krakow. Its history is inextricably linked to the Cistercian monastery, which was founded in 1140 by brothers from the Gryfit family - Janik and Klemens. Initially Jedrzejow functioned as a servant settlement of the monastery, but in 1271 Boleslaw the Chaste granted it city rights and located it under Magdeburg law. The monastery itself was the first Cistercian center of its kind in Poland, and over the years has hosted many prominent Poles.
Jędrzejów is known as the town of clocks due to its sizeable collection housed in the Przypkowski Museum and clocks visible in various parts of the town. While there, take a ride on the narrow-gauge train called Ciuchcią Ekspres "Ponidzie", which passes through the picturesque area of the Nida River.

Above the city center rises the Royal Palace, the official seat of the Norwegian monarchy. Every day at 1:30 pm, a changing of the guard takes place in front of the palace's main entrance. In addition, the medieval Akershus Fortress, once successfully defending enemies' access to the city, is worth a visit. A little farther from the center you can see the famous Holmenkollen ski jump with the Ski Museum.
Getting to Oslo - bus, plane or own transport?
Oslo-Gardermoen Airport is located 48 kilometers north of the city center. Sandefjord-Torp Airport, on the other hand, is 120 kilometers from Oslo. Oslo is a very well-connected city. You can move around it using buses, subways or streetcars. Polish PKS Oslo will not be missed, but international and domestic bus services stop at the bus station connected to the train station in the very center of the Norwegian capital.
