This is where you will find the most frequently asked questions by passengers about issues such as foreign coach travel, coach tickets, luggage and transfers.
The ticket is valid for 12 months from the date of departure.
Passenger is entitled to carry 3 pieces of luggage free of charge, including 1 piece of hand luggage weighing up to 5kg and 2 pieces of basic luggage weighing up to 30kg.
No. Sindbad is not in the business of parcel transportation and is not responsible for any parcels given to drivers or pilots for transportation abroad.
The coaches are equipped with reclining seats, toilet, air-conditioning, audio-video system, bar with hot and cold drinks, as well as free Internet access in Poland and European Union countries. Our fleet also includes 230V outlets along with USB input.
No. The ticket is a named document and cannot be shared with a third party.
The document for traveling abroad to EU countries is a passport or ID card (applies to citizens of EU countries).
Binding information on this subject can be obtained from the Passport Department in each city or the Embassy of the country in question.
No. A school ID or birth certificate is not a foreign travel document.
Date of departure can be changed no later than 24 hours before the date written on the ticket. On the day of departure, the change is not possible.
The specific seat in the coach is assigned by the pilot/driver during boarding. In exceptional cases (e.g. motion sickness, disability, etc.) it is possible to enter a request as to the seat through the Sindbad hotline.
No. Boarding and alighting from the bus is allowed at the places specified in the timetable according to the applicable line permit.
It is forbidden to transport animals on board coaches. In exceptional situations upon written request (sent to wnioski@sindbad.pl). The carrier may agree to carry a small animal (dog, cat, ferret up to 4 kg!). The transported animal must have a passport, implanted microchip and veterinary examination required for entry into the country constituting the country of travel. You must also have a ticket for the transported animal. The provisions of these regulations relating to the carriage of animals do not apply to travel to the United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden and Norway, where we absolutely do not carry animals.
Passenger is covered by the Carrier's personal accident insurance. The insurance covers only situations that happen during the Passenger's stay in the coach. Other fortuitous events resulting in damage to the Passenger occurring outside the coach are not covered.
Yes. A passenger can buy a second seat for himself/herself according to the valid ticket price for the day.
When purchasing a ticket at a travel agency, we pay for the ticket in the currency that applies in the country ( Germany EUR, England GBP, etc.). If you purchase a coach ticket on the website www.sindbad.pl, paying by card or bank transfer, we can make the payment in zlotys.
There may be transfers during the trip for logistical or traveler safety reasons. Information about possible transfers is provided on the day of departure.
Unfortunately, this is not possible. Sindbad does not carry bicycles on board the coach or in the luggage compartments.
The second seat can be purchased in one transaction on our website www.sindbad.pl. After selecting a route and adding a ticket to the shopping cart, there is an "additional seat" checkbox in the "Fill in details" tab. - when you check it, an additional amount for the second seat will be added to your cart.
Our company fleet is equipped with 230V outlets. If you make a connection with a third-party coach, we cannot guarantee this facility.
Yes, our passengers can take advantage of free wireless Internet in Poland and European Union countries in coaches belonging to the company's fleet. The range and speed of data transmission depends on the mobile network operator in the country.
The price of a ticket depends on several factors that have a significant impact on the cost of the lines operated. The three main criteria determining the fee are the day of the week of departure and return, the length of the route and the seasonality index (low, high, holidays). The final price can also be influenced by the filling of the coach on a given route. Based on years of experience, we have prepared algorithms on the basis of which the system calculates individual offers, and so:
- the cheapest day of departure from Poland is Thursday, and the most expensive is Saturday,
- on connections to Poland the cheapest will be to leave on Monday, the most expensive on Friday or Saturday.
Yes. Passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility have the right to transport a wheelchair or walker in the luggage compartment of the bus free of charge. For safety reasons, wheelchairs carried in the luggage compartment of the bus must be collapsible and not electrically powered.
Yes. A guide dog of a person with a disability or a blind person that must be transported with that person is transported free of charge as long as proof is available in the form of a valid ID card of the person with a disability and the dog meets the requirements of the Regulations for. microchip, valid examination and passport.
According to the amendment to the Traffic Law, which came into force on 15/05/2015, coaches are not required to carry children in safety seats.
Children under the age of 12 cannot travel independently on Sindbad coaches.
Yes. Children over the age of 12 may travel independently (except for travel to/from Italy, the UK and Ukraine), guardians escorting children to the departure of the coach are required to give the crew "Application for the carriage of minors". For travel to the UK (age 16 and over), copies of the child's parents' identification documents are also required.
When traveling with children under 4, we allow you to carry a collapsible baby stroller (umbrella type) free of charge as part of your child's luggage.
Passenger intervenes on the ticket at Travel agency where the ticket was purchased (if purchased online, please call the hotline).
Yes, the carrier can confirm tickets purchased up to 5 years back. Due to the fact that such data is subject to archiving at an external company, obtaining a confirmation involves a fee of PLN 60 to the account: ING Bank Śląski branch in Opole with the number 80 1050 1504 1000 0023 3836 9388. After paying the fee, please send the transfer confirmation and a written request to the Claims Department - e-mail: reklamacje@sindbad.pl. In the letter, please specify the date and route of your trip.
Luggage loss is extremely rare, however, it is worth knowing how to proceed in such a situation. Any complaints about lost luggage should be reported to the coach crew. In the situation of lost luggage, please contact us at telephone number 48 77 549 48 45.

Any complaints arising from the performance of the contract of carriage should be submitted in writing (registered mail) to the Carrier's address or by e-mail to reklamacje@sindbad.pl within 12 months from the occurrence of the circumstances that are the subject of the complaint. The person entitled to file a complaint is the Passenger or his legal guardian, legal successor or attorney. Complaints submitted by third parties will not be considered.
The complaint must be accompanied by the ticket or its photocopy, and in the case of a complaint regarding luggage, a written confirmation of its damage or loss. Within 30 days from the delivery of the complaint, the Carrier will consider the complaint. In justified cases, this period may be extended up to three months, subject to notification to the Passenger of the reasons for extending the period for consideration of the complaint.
